McDonald's Creates the Music Event of the Summer
Exclusive event features the music of Britney Spears, *NSYNC, Sisqo, Joe, Carlos Vives, Enrique Iglesias and other top artists

This summer, your favorite music artists are as close as your nearest McDonald's® restaurant. The McDonald's Summer Music Event will offer customers three new CDs featuring popular Jive Records artists Britney Spears, *NSYNC and Joe as well as other major recording label artists such as Sisqo and Carlos Vives. In addition, a backstage music video and Tiger HitClips™ -- a new technology from Tiger Electronics -- will highlight Spears and *NSYNC.
These exclusive CDs and video will be available from August 4-24 while supplies last at participating U.S. McDonald's restaurants. Customers may buy the CDs or video for $4.99 each with the purchase of any regularly priced menu item.

Featuring the latest music, each CD contains eight hit songs, some of which are only available on the McDonald's CDs. Spears and *NSYNC pair up on one of the three CDs titled, Your #1 Requests ... And More, releasing four new tracks. The disc features two brand new releases from each artist and exclusive remixes of the Spears' hit, "Oops I Did It Again" and *NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye." Spears and *NSYNC also appear in a 35-minute video featuring fun, up-close and personal interviews of the artists and behind-the-scenes footage from their music video-taping sessions. The video can be purchased for $4.99 with the purchase of any regularly priced menu item.
The Groove CD includes an exclusive selection of Rap, Hip Hop and R&B songs from artists 702, DMX, Joe, Mary J. Blige, Mystikal, Q-Tip, R. Kelly and Sisqo.
The Rhythm CD combines a unique collection of songs in Spanish and English from artists a.b. Quintanilla (Kumbia Kings), Carlos Ponce, Carlos Vives, Enrique Iglesias, Millie, Olga Tanon, Selena and Thalia.
By listening to Your #1 Requests ... And More CD or video, The Groove CD or The Rhythm CD customers may win a concert ticket giveaway of four free backstage tickets to an upcoming concert by Britney Spears, *NSYNC, Joe, or Carlos Vives. Concert dates are still to be determined. Winning customers will see and/or hear a recorded message on the CD or video indicating that they have won a chance to hang backstage with the artist. Additional details are provided on the CD and/or video.
Customers can pick-up an entry form for another chance to win a trip to a 'NSYNC or Britney Spears concert, at Media Play®, Sam Goody®, and On Cue®. Customers then send in the entry form along with one Proof Of Purchase from the 'NSYNC and Britney Spears-Your #1 Requests ... And More! CD or Video purchase from McDonald's.

The event was made possible through a unique collaboration between McDonald's and the Special Projects Marketing division of the Zomba Group of Labels, home to Jive Records.
Also part of the promotion, McDonald's is working with Tiger to introduce an incredible new music system. HitClips is a personal micro-sized music system that will feature many of today's hottest artists on micro music clips that play in a variety of special new players. The Micro Music Player, available first at McDonald's, clips to clothing and comes with an earbud which fits snugly in the ear affording fans their own personal sound. McDonald's is offering the new HitClips Micro Music Players in red, blue and silver as part of the Summer Music Event 2000 in a limited introductory offer. Customers receive one Tiger Micro Music Clip with the purchase of a HitClips Micro Music Player from either Spears (Stronger) or *NSYNC (It's Gonna Be Me).
Tiger HitClips will be available beginning August 11, and can be purchased while supplies last for $4.99 each with the purchase of any regularly priced menu item.
