McDonald's Names Russ Smyth - President, Partner Brands

McDonald's Corporation (NYSE: MCD) today named Russ Smyth as President of Partner Brands Division, the portfolio of restaurant concepts that McDonald's has acquired or invested in which includes Boston Market, Donatos Pizzeria, Aroma Cafe, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and Pret A Manger.
"Russ has the experience, talent and leadership skills to be a real asset in his new role leading the development of our Partner Brands," said Jack M. Greenberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, McDonald's Corporation.
Most recently, Smyth served as Senior Vice President, International Relationship Partner for Southeast and Central Asia. In this position, he was responsible for managing all McDonald's operations in Southeast and Central Asia, including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

Prior to his most recent responsibilities, Smyth was Vice President of the Latin America Group, responsible for managing McDonald's business in Puerto Rico, Central America, the Caribbean, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Uruguay.
He began his career at McDonald's in 1984 working in the finance and accounting departments. Before joining the company, Smyth worked at Price Waterhouse.
Smyth is replacing Jeff Kindler who resigned as President, McDonald's Partner Brands Division to take a position with Pfizer Corporation based in New York.
