"McDonald's is thrilled to provide our Happy Meal customers with one of the hottest new toy trends," said Karlin Linhardt, Senior Director of Kids and Family Marketing, McDonald's USA. "These highly collectible NAKNAK figures will provide McDonald's customers with hours of stacking fun and family gaming."

NAKNAK figures can click into more than 80 different poses and stack together to create loads of NAKNAK structures. Each of the more than 90 stackable NAKNAK characters due out this year belongs to a different NAKNAK CLIK™, such as ROBO-NAKS™, HUMANAKS™, ALIENAKS™. With a signature clicking sound when posed, kids and families can compete in a variety of interactive "NAKNAK Challenges," such as "how high" and "how many", clicking and stacking their way to victory.

Anticipating the success of Hasbro's new stackable figures, McDonald's was excited to be on the leading edge of this trend - securing a promotion a full year before the NAKNAK brand made its retail debut in January 2003. In only three months, these collectible stacking characters have found their way into thousands of homes setting root to the burgeoning trend.

"We are very excited that McDonald's selected Hasbro's NAKNAK brand for a Happy Meal promotion. Their enthusiasm in working with this brand throughout its launch was a key indicator that kids were going to love the NAKNAK line," said Greg Leeds, General Manager of Boys Toys for Hasbro. "In just a short time, thousands of kids across the country have discovered the NAKNAK brand and together with McDonald's, millions more kids can now experience the challenge and fun."

Seven unique, full-sized monster-themed NAKNAK characters will be offered in McDonald's Happy Meals from April 4 through May 1, 2003 at participating U.S. McDonald's restaurants, while supplies last. Each NAKNAK figure will come complete with stickers and a set of mini "NAKNAK Challenge" rules. Different packages will feature a NAKNAK figure with a monster-themed trading card, accessories or carrying cases.

The NAKNAK Happy Meal promotion will be supported by television advertising and in-store merchandising.
